The Village

Le Fayet is an idillic small village between the Provence region and the Cévennes moutains
in Southern Ardèche, 7kms from the medieval village of Largentière.
Located about 350m above sea level, in the Mediterranean climate zone.

Le Fayet is nestled in a small sunny valley. It consists in a dozen old farmhouses from the time when the silk industry in the Ardèche was one of the largest in the world.
Le Fayet is surrounded by a landscape of terraces shaped into the hills centuries ago,
planted with vine, olive and pine trees.

Located along a small country road, the atmosphere is typical of the South of France or the North of Italy. A fresh water spring and fascinating rock formations create an ideal area to explore, for both children and adults. You will feel like you are entering another world.
